Paper Trail Books opened up in August, 2017 in downtown Royal Oak on the west side of Washington, between 4th and 6th Streets. We are a general interest bookstore and carry books of all subjects - fiction, history, art, sports, children's, teens and more. We stock around 20,000 used books as well as a selection of new books.  Our books are very affordable - they sell for about half the publisher price.  Expect to find fresh inventory each time you visit. We also carry an assortment of collectibles, gift items, comic books, greeting cards, records, cds and games. Come check us out and feel free to play our store piano or play a game of chess or checkers or go.

We do our best to help you find the book you are looking for or discover something entirely new.  In addition, we host story times, occasional events and author book signings.
